Dr. Jinelle Gelinas completed her BHK (2011), MSc (2013) and PhD (2021) at UBC (Okanagan) in the area of clinical cardiopulmonary exercise physiology. She is also a certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist through the American College of Sports Medicine. With over a decade of experience and technical training in the area of clinical exercise physiology, she is passionate about using evidence-based, scientific approaches to optimize exercise therapy for individuals living with chronic cardiopulmonary conditions. She has worked hands-on with patients within a multidisciplinary healthcare team, collaborated on community-based rehabilitation initiatives and taught and mentored university students in the areas of clinical exercise physiology and exercise prescription.
She fundamentally believes that exercise is medicine and is passionate about empowering individuals to take control of their health by providing them with knowledge and support, while creating a community to help them thrive.
She currently resides in North Vancouver, BC and enjoys all the outdoor activities that the West Coast has to offer!
